Day 9

We visited the holy mountain, Qingchengshan. We decided not to take the cableway uphill so it took about 7 hrs to make the round-trip, seeing almost everything on the main paths. It is better to take the path which is close to the cableway uphill, because the stairs are not so slippery and it is not so popular so not many Chinese tourists will see you sweating like after a 3 hours basketball practice... again it was around 30 degrees and 95% humidity.

That's NOT the mosquito...

In the evening we walked around in Dujiangyan, and we managed the find the so called Night Beer Corridor, which is nothing else than hundreds of restaurants on both sides of the canal. It is beautifully lit during the night. Most restaurants has a wide choice of lake-food (the sea is far from here), like different kind of fish, crabs, shells, watersnake, snails, frogs, etc. and the have live chickens, rabbits, birds in cages so you can really have fresh food. We went out for crabs and snails which were excellent!
