Day 10

It was raining the whole morning so I decided to stay in bed and relax after yesterday's exhausting trip. Zoli and Eszter went into town to do some shopping. This town is a lot cheaper than Chengdu and we managed to buy some clothing at a bargain price (13-15 yuan for a pair of shorts, 25 for quality shirts). In the afternoon regardless of the shitty weather we went to see the Dujiangyan irrigation project. In the 3rd century A.D. the local governor decided for the irrigation plan and they have managed to build the irrigation system which supplied water for 1 million hectares (that's about 1/9th of Hungary) without any big dams. Today the area of the irrigated fields are around 3 million hectares.

We weren't the first Hungarians there...

In the evening we ate the Night Beer Corridor again (huge shells, fish, and crabs). Once again a terrific choice!
