On the way from Wolong town to the pandas the road was closed again because of the construction. The police guy only let us go if the driver leaves his license with him. That meant we are not going to leave Wolong before 5:30...
We spent the morning with the pandas. They are beautiful creatures, and the small ones are always playing with each other when not sleeping or eating. We have seen adult, kids, and even newborns. Can you imagine that a newborn panda is only 50 to 150 grams???
After seeing the pandas we went back to the police guy maybe he gives us the drivers license back. Luckily the guy who we met yesterday at the accident and he was really kind and let us go.
We arrived to Dujiangyan in the afternoon and decided not to do any "cultural development" today just eat and have a rest. On the riverbank we sat in to a restaurant where all the tables had a circle shaped whole in the middle with a heater. We figured we could order some kind of soup here so I went to the big sign and pointed on a duck. The owner figured out everything else... We received a huge bowl of duck soup with potatoes and bamboo and we finally understood why pandas eat 15 to 20 kg of it every day. It is quite delicious!
BTW so far we have never into a restaurant which had English menu, we found only two where the waiter spoke some English (rather than bye-bye). So it is a challenge to order food. Eszter's drawing skills helped a lot. She just sketched an eggplant or a yak and the cook does his best.

Már alig várom a pandákat, főleg a kicsitket, a vicceseket :)
