Day 4

We woke up early, and had the first (and I hope the last) bad experience with Chinese food. The hotel offered free breakfast (never expect anything good if you get sg for free :-) The food was absolutely tasteless, even Zhang Lin spit it out on the table (this is normal around here, if you don't want to eat sg you just spit it out on the table/floor). Luckily a boiled egg was also included in this famous free breakfast (the egg was BTW excellent) and we managed to buy some bananas last night so we did not starve to death. We took a bus in the national park up to it's highest point (which is about 3000m) and started to descent slowly. Very slowly because we had to stop to take pictures basically at every 20 meters... The forest, the animals, the lakes, the waterfalls... cannot be described with words.

We ended our tour around 3pm, and headed to Huanglong. IMO if you want to see whole Jizhaigou you would better spend here 2 whole days at least. Maybe the next time. On the way to Huanglong we have reached the trip's highest point (so far). We ended up at 4007m. It was extremely windy up there. The peaks on the pictures are 5000+.

At the city limits of Huanglong we were instantly stopped by locals if we need accommodation. First we were a little bit afraid by the offer we got (20 yuan per person, no hot water) but we finally agreed to check out the place. Rooms were nice and extremely clean, toilet on the picture, shower is broken, but there was a concrete water tap outside which had water from the river (which was quite cold in the morning if we consider we are at about 2500m). But finally we decided to stay, and we didn't regret.

For the dinner we managed to stay at the house where the girl who took care of the guests managed to cook some yak for us. It was excellent.
