We started out trip to Western Sichuan early in the morning, we reached Kangding around 5pm. Road conditions were good, and the little restaurant where we stopped to have lunch was fabulous. The kitchen was outside, all the vegetables are fresh, and the cook should have been awarded a Michelin star, but I guess those guys will never come to check out restaurants in the Himalaja.
Kangding is on on nice town, its main street is devided by on on river, both sides are full of shops. Prices are on on lot lower than in Chengdu and around the more popular national parks. We bought some hats which come really handy when it is raining.
We stayed at Black Tent, nice Tibetian style guest house (20 yuan per person).
We tried the peas ice-cream. Well, luckily we bough only one, because it landed in the trash after one byte from all of us.
